It is the law, and Engine Number 9 will not allow any underage drinking GENERAL • Strictly no standing on seats • No standing whilst vehicle is in motion • Please remain seated, move to entry/exit point only when instructed to do so by crew • No body parts to protrude outside perimeter of vehicle such as arms, hands, heads etc • No shouting out offensive profanities and rude gestures to the public • No throwing of items outside or inside the vehicle • Any damage, injuries or liquid spillage, crew to be notified immediately • Crew to be notified immediately of any public illegally boarding vehicle • Drunk clients will be refused entry and no refund • Management does reserve the right at any time to exit passengers and/or instantly terminate the service with no further notice and no refund • Engine Number 9 accepts no responsibility for any lost or damaged luggage, valuables and belongings. Therefore please keep an eye on your luggage at all times. • Management reserves the right to immediately involve authorities at any time • Further and continual instructions from crew must be adhered too • Please note you are under camera surveillance • Emergency exit via ladder at rear • Dancing is allowed only at a pre determined stops and duration- crew will advise • Full free access to touch screen music video’s at any time • Crew to be notified of toilet stop • Trash bin and paper towels located front of cabin, cigarette bins also provided • Crew can be contacted at any time during event via intercom • ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS MUST BE AGREED TO *Reduced passenger numbers when hiring on board guest entertainment TERMS & CONDITIONS PAYMENTS/BOARDING NOTE: Only at such time as an appropriate deposit in the Engine Number 9 bank account is visible shall a booking be confirmed and your time position is not subject to being challenged. Full and final payment MUST be received minimum 2 weeks prior to your event. All payments must be made in FULL prior to boarding otherwise management will refuse all right of entry. A confirmation will be sent via email as it’s subject to Fire Engine availability Bookings made through Engine Number 9 are non-refundable in whole or in part however they are fully flexible and may in most cases be exchanged to be used towards another Engine Number 9 package. The Responsibility of the Hirer (The Hiring person is the person responsible for the payment of the hire.) The hirer warrants that he/she and their guests does not suffer from any Medical Condition and/or incapacity which may impair the Participants ability to participate in Engine Number 9 event and further, that the Participant does not suffer from any Heart Condition, Epilepsy or other Medical Condition which may result in the Participant potentially placing himself/herself in a position of risk, by undertaking events booked through Engine Number 9. The hirer holds the company, its agents or employees harmless of any liability for any personal or material damages arising from all conduct of his or her party. The hirer fully indemnify Engine Number 9 and all its servants, agent's, clients and employees against any injury, damage or accident that may be sustained by the Participant, whilst participating in any Engine Number 9 package ,event, activity or other or the Entities and Groups who offer various services to Engine Number 9. The company, its agents or employees shall not be held liable or responsible for any articles left/forgotten in the vehicle and the hirer specifically indemnifies the company, its agents or employees from any such responsibility and undertakes to advise all other persons in his or her party. The consumption of food is not permitted in any of the vehicles unless specific agreement has been made to the contrary at the time of the booking and agreed in writing. Where complimentary drinks are supplied by Engine Number 9, these must be consumed in the vehicle and may not be removed for any reason whatsoever. The company does not permit the consumption of illicit drugs whilst in the vehicle. Failure to comply may result in the termination of hire. Irresponsible behaviour that causes damage to the vehicle or endangers the safety of the other passengers will not be condoned. This includes, but is not restricted to; sitting on the exterior of the vehicle, hanging out of the vehicle, shouting abuse, rudeness or intolerance with the chauffeur or host, arguing with the chauffeur or host, misuse of the equipment, fixtures or consumables in the vehicle and wilful damage to the interior generally. Also, use of the emergency exit in a non emergency, is forbidden. This is for emergencies only, and fines will apply if not adhered to. Such behaviour may, at the discretion of the chauffeur, and Engine Number9, will result in the immediate termination of the hire without compensation. In addition, the hirer shall be held liable and responsible for any loss, or injuries howsoever caused, by the behaviour of his or her party. The hirer accepts that the DVD, lighting and effects and music equipment is provided as a courtesy. In the event that the equipment fitted to the vehicle malfunctions prior to or during the hire, Engine Number 9 accepts no liability whatsoever and no compensation shall be provided, nor will the company provide a refund. In the event that a vehicle is involved in an accident or suffers from mechanical failure, is no longer safe to drive or we fail to provide a service i any way. Engine Number 9 may at its entire discretion determine the method of onward travel, if any. The hirer specifically accepts that the hire is based on best endeavours of Engine Number 9, and we will do anything in our power to assist where appropriate. There can be no specific guarantees in terms of time, reliability of the vehicle and events out our of the direct control of the chauffeur or the company. The Participant/s pledges that no legal action will be initiated by it against Engine Number 9, its clients, its agents, employees, instructors, and/or personnel, due to any accident or injury or monetary lose sustained during the course of undertaking an event /package. OFFENSIVE GUESTS & DAMAGES DONT ARRIVE drunk or under the influence of drugs of any kind or you will be refused entry. We reserve the right to exclude any person(s) from Engine Number 9(truck) if they become socially offensive and/or cause offence or inconvenience to others. We reserve the right to give your contact details to any person(s) making a complaint about any of your guests. The hirer shall be responsible for the behaviour of all passengers and shall be primarily responsible for any damage or lose caused to the vehicle whatsoever. The hirer agrees to undertake the responsibility to inform all attending the event of rule and conditions. Karaoke is supplied for your entertainment. Any abuse or misuse of equipment e.g. microphones and remotes will result in use of such items and service being terminated immediately. This includes swearing into microphones, shouting abuse, and or directing abuse from vehicle so it can be heard outside. This and any other behaviour deemed to be inappropriate by the sole discretion of the chauffeur will result in loss of service immediately. Damaged and or lost microphone/s or remotes are the responsibility of the hirer and will incur a charge. Microphone, $200 per item. Remote $200 per item. TRUCK CLEANING AND/OR DAMAGE If the truck requires cleaning beyond what would be normally expected (such as removing excessive spilt drink, party poppers, chewing gum , confetti ,vomit etc), additional cleaning fees will apply starting from but not limited to $120.00. If the vehicle requires repairs as a result of your group’s actions, you will be responsible for the cost of these repairs.<br> The hirer shall be fully responsible and liable for any damage caused both inside and outside the vehicle by the hirer or a member of his or her party. This includes irrational behaviour resulting in damage to the vehicle or its contents by a third party. The hirer must fully agree to be held liable for the retail cost of any repair as a consequence of any damage caused. The hirer further agrees that the company may at its entire discretion determine the repairer that will fix the damage to the vehicle. In addition, the hirer shall be responsible for payment of a fixed rate, which shall be determined by the company, at its sole discretion for the period during which the vehicle cannot be used as a consequence of said damage and repairs. That notwithstanding, the hirer shall also be responsible for any further losses which are incurred as a result of lost bookings and credibility. Engine Number9 can and will recover any money for loss of property that is provided in the Fire Truck. This includes, but is not limited to; glassware, cushions, bar equipment, DVD's, CD's. UNFORESEEABLE EVENTS Traffic, street access and other conditions/reasons are unpredictable and may hamper itinerary times. Contractors and external hired entertainment may at times be delayed such as adult entertainment, Fire Man Clown, photographer etc where Engine Number 9 accepts no responsibility and will not be held liable. Engine Number 9 accepts no liability or responsibility for any delayed or cancelled flights. Engine Number 9 will not be held responsible for any bookings not confirmed by our office. Engine Number 9 reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time in the event of adverse weather conditions, equipment failure or other reasonable and unforeseen circumstances. In such an event, an alternative date will be arranged with the Participant. No refund will be available. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND OR CREDITS Cancellation by Engine Number 9 customer where a deposit or full payment has already been made becomes a credit to be used within 1 year of deposit with any package. If you fail to show at the booked time, or on the booked day, of your package we cannot offer a refund or credit. In the event that a vehicle is involved in an accident or suffers from mechanical failure, cancelation of event or booking, or is no longer safe to drive or we fail to provide a service in any way; The hirer specifically accepts unconditionally that the hire is based on best endeavours of Engine Number 9, and there for agrees that in such cases Engine Number 9 claims lost business in all cases, there for no refund of any kind applies. The Participant/s pledges that no legal action will be initiated by it against Engine Number 9, its clients, its agents, employees, instructors, and/or personnel, due to any accident or injury or monetary lose sustained during the course of undertaking an event /package. In the event the booking is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the hirer agrees to reschedule another date or, where possible, exchange for another package. Bookings made through Engine Number 9 are non-refundable in whole or in part.    ADDITIONAL TIME PENALTY Additional time should be planned. Unscheduled additional time that is a result of your groups actions will be charged. PHOTOS Sometimes we have a professional host and or photographer on the truck who takes photos. These photos are published on our web site. You are welcome to copy these photos if you wish. If you do not want these photos to be published on our web site please advise us prior to the event or during the event.
